Sunday 07 March
It's been a little quiet at the Lodge over the last few weeks - although that is typical for this time of year. Our staff are recovering from the effects of the high season and our fish are recovering from spawning. The hot season approaches and the fish tend to go deep and keep cool.
Which is why it was a pleasant surprise when one of the younger Arapaima in the bottom pond got caught over the weekend.
Thursday 19 February
Friday 05 February
A couple of interesting photos - first a Barramundi caught this morning by Clive, on his second day here. Yesterday he had Pacu, Arawana, Cohor, Suwai, Giant Gourami to add to his species list.
Secondly, a nice 14.5Kg Cohor caught by one of our local customers.
Sunday 24 January 2010
Not to be outdone - our resident star of the bottom pond 'Arry the Arapaima (now weighing around 50-60 Kg) - made his presence known again today. Caught by Allan from the U.K. - the smile on his face says it all!..........Allan that is - not 'Arry!
Friday 22 January 2010
One of our younger Arapaima in the top pond made an appearance this evening - weighing in at 20Kg - kinda cute eh?
Monday 18 January 2010
Just to show that our top pond can also yield some good specimens and also, that the ladies are not to be outdone............
Som landed this beautiful 14 Kg Giant Mekong Catfish - one of 12 stocked in the top pond about a year ago, and only the second one to be caught!
