Featuring - KAENG KRACHAN DAM

THE HUA HIN FISHING EXPERIENCE Tour (1) – EARLY MORNING TO KAENG KRACHAN DAM, LUNCH AT KAENG KRACHAN & AN AFTERNOON OF RELAXED FISHING ON OUR LAKES AT HUA HIN FISHING LODGE

Hua Hin Fishing Tours have secured exclusive access to Kaeng Krachan Dam, from a small resort on the South bank of this beautiful 45 sq km lake. This same location is the base for our one / two night fishing trips to this superb dam. An early pickup from your accommodation will take you through the sleepy countryside arriving at the dam's edge around 06.00. We should be fishing for Pla Krasoop, Pla Chon & the elusive Pla Shadow at our favourite spot around 06.45. With several locations to try and being on the water in Pla Yai Mee Tee Nai, the whole dam is available to us.  

When the sun is well and truly up and it starts to get a little warm, we return across the dam to our point of embarkation, take some lunch at their restaurant - simple but tasty Thai dishes - and then back to Hua Hin Fishing Lodge for an afternoon seeking different quarry in our own lakes. 

Return to your accommodation early evening after a splendid day of fishing.

Take some trips on Pla Yai Mee Tee Nai for some lure fishing or anchor at an island for bait fishing. Stay for one night (two fishing trips), or two nights (three fishing trips)  at our affilliate resort on the shores of Kaeng Krachan Dam. Accommodation in twin bed or double bed with airconditioning, shower and toilet. Use of the resorts small swimming pool included.

  HUA HIN FISHING EXPERIENCE Tour (4)

All fishermen will tell you that the best time to fish is at sunrise. Nothing is more true when boat fishing at Pranburi Dam. This dam is some 14km long and 2km wide at its extremities. It is a spectacular location that most visitors never get the chance to enjoy. Now we can bring you this wonderful experience on our purpose built fishing boat PLA YAI MEE TEE NAI. 

Join us for an early morning trip through the beautiful Thai countryside, see the pineapple plantations, the farmers and fishermen who are lucky enough to live and work on the shores of Pranburi Dam. Travel out onto the dam at sunrise and reach that private location where the Pla Krasoop (Jungle Perch), Pla Chon (Striped Snakehead) and - if you are lucky - the famous Pla Shadow (Giant Snakehead) all lurk in the reeds nearby. Here we will use lures to try and tempt these Thai fishing celebrities to our boat!

When the sun is well and truly up and it starts to get a little warm, we return across the dam to our point of embarkation and then back to Hua Hin Fishing Lodge for a comfortable lunch. (For those who want it - you can even try our English Breakfast!).

Your afternoon can then be spent at leisure around our ponds where further species await you.

Return to your accommodation early evening after a splendid day of fishing.

This is a full day trip - collection at your hotel at around 04.30 to 0500 hrs, return to Hua Hin Fishing Lodge around 13.00hrs for lunch. Stay on if you wish, and fish our lakes until around 16-17.00 hrs and then return to your hotel thereafter.

Day Trips to PALM TREE LAGOON

At Hua Hin Fishing Lodge and also via Hua Hin Fishing Tours we get many enquiries about ‘Palm Tree Lagoon’ supposedly in Hua Hin.

Firstly – Hua Hin Fishing Lodge is NOT ‘Palm Tree Lagoon’ - but we DO have more Palm Trees at Hua Hin Fishing Lodge.

Secondly – ‘Palm Tree Lagoon’ is NOT in Hua Hin – it is approximately 120Km NORTH of Hua Hin and about a 1 ½ hour drive away.

It is a fishing park with simply HUGE fish made famous by a UK TV programme. However, the location is not as romantic as it sounds and the facilities there are somewhat limited.

Hua Hin Fishing Lodge and Hua Hin Fishing Tours have secured an arrangement with the owner of the facility to fish this lake at a very competitive cost, when compared to the international tours that feature this location.

We can offer a full day trip from Hua Hin area for between 2 to 4 persons including:-

• Pick up and return transportation to and from your accommodation
• Provision of all tackle
• Use of Hua Hin Fishing Lodge guide / baitman
• Swims can be prebaited for 4 days prior to the visit, provided notice is given.

Food and drink can be ordered directly from Palm Tree Lagoon staff and is charged extra.

Day Trips to BARRAMUNDI LAKE  

We have found a superb man-made pond brimming with Freshwater Barramundi approximately 90 minutes from Hua Hin. We call it Barramundi Lake. This unique fishing park is only open on SATURDAYs and SUNDAYs due to the owner being occupied with his fish breeding program!

Hua Hin Fishing Tours have secured a special arrangement with the owner of this amazing pond to fish there at weekends only and we can offer a trip that will certainly be entertaining.

The Barramundi here reach approx 10kg and are great sport on lures and light tackle. The pond also has stock of Giant Mekong Catfish to around 40kg and other varieties.

Terms & Conditions of Booking for all tours.

Payment for all trips is by Thai Baht in cash at the commencement of the trip on the day.

Our boat Pla Yai Mee Tee Nai, carries life jackets, depth sounding equipment, G.P.S. location equipment, fire extinguisher and a small medical kit. Whilst it has been constructed and equipped with safety in mind, the following conditions are applicable to all trips.

1)  Life jackets will be offered to all customers at the commencement of the trip.

2)  Customers MUST obey instructions of the crew AT ALL TIMES

3)  Only lightweight shoes are allowed onboard Pla Yai Mee Tee Nai – we reserve   the right to request customers to remove their shoe apparel.

4)  We reserve the right to cancel a trip in the event of severe weather conditions i.e. heavy rain or high winds. In this event, we will attempt to notify you, therefore please provide a contact telephone number (if possible) at time of booking.

Hua Hin Fishing Tours and Hua Hin Fishing Lodge do not accept any liability for injury or consequential damage to property of customers partaking in our trips.

Customers partake of these activities entirely at their own risk.
